Kenya’s Wealth is in its Forests

  • Kenya is blessed with an abundance of beautiful forests which represent amazing opportunities for Eco-Tourism and Eco-Entrepreneurship.
  • ACCAF is seeking to secure 25,000 Hectares of Forest Land from the Government of Kenya to conserve for future generations.
  • Our Target Locations are: Mount Kenya, Mount Kipipiri, Aberdare Mountain Range, Chyulu Hills, Kakamega Forest & Kaptagat Forest.
  • We provide investment, knowledge and expertise to design projects which will provide employment and business opportunities whilst protecting the forests for future generations.
  • Trees and forests are being lost daily in Kenya due to deforestation, the main cause of which is individuals and communities cutting the trees down to use as fuel – Wood / Charcoal.

"Land covered with Forest is not “lost farmland” and we need to change the perception and show communities how to utilise their forests in a sustainable manner"

Utilization:

  • Forest is not “lost farmland”
  • ACCAF aims to change the perception and educate local communities on how to utilise the forest in a sustainable manner.
  • Activities will focus on, Education, Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), and Forest Husbandry.
